Xylazine 10% Aranda

Tranquilizer, Analgesic and Muscle Relaxant with sedative effect.

FORMULA

Each 1 mL contains: Xylazine HCI: 100 mg, Vehicle q.s.: 1 ml.

INDICATIONS

For sedation in cases where management requires it, as a tranquilizer and as a pre-anesthetic, offering moderate analgesia and/or deep muscle relaxation in cases of surgery that require this effect in horses not intended for human consumption and canines.

DOSE

• Equines: 1.1 mg/kg (1.1 ml/100 kg) IV; 2.2 mg/kg (2.2 ml/100 kg) IM.
  Sedation: 0.5-0.6 mg/kg (0.5-0.6 mL/100 kg) IM or slow IV.
• Canines: 1.1 mg/kg (0.11 mL/10 kg) IV; 1.1-2.2 mg/kg (0.11-0.22 ml/10 kg) IM.
  Sedation: 0.6 mg/kg (0.06 mL/10 kg) IM OR IV.

The dosage and combination with other drugs resulted from the anesthetic protocol chosen according to the clinical case and the veterinarian's recommendation. See attached instructions.

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Intramuscular or intravenous.

RETIREMENT TIME

Do not administer to horses intended for human consumption.

PRESENTATION: 20 ml.

WARNINGS

Always keep the patient under close observation. Use with caution in patients with systemic disorders and under conditions of stress or tension. Do not use during the last trimester of pregnancy, or in patients with pre-existing heart, liver, or kidney disease, or in shock. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources, at a temperature between 15°C and 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
