Max Iron 20% is indicated for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia, nutritional anemia, and parasitic anemia. It is a stimulant and fortifier for animals exposed to intense and prolonged exercise. Vitamin B12 contributes to the production of red blood cells.

FORMULA: Each 1 ml contains:
Elemental iron as ferric hydroxide in combination with dextran ......... 200 mg

Vitamin B12 ........................................................................................................... 150 mcg
CBP Vehicle ......................................................................................................... 1 ml

DOSE:
- Bovines (meat and milk): 1 ml/100 kg of body weight in a single dose.
- Equines: 10 ml, before each exposure to intense exertion, in a single dose.
Lambs, Goats and Calves: 0.6 ml / 5 kg of body weight (equivalent to 130 mg of iron dextran and 97.5 mcg of vitamin B12), in a single dose.
Canines and Felines : 1 ml / 10 kg of weight, in a single dose.

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:
Deep intramuscular.

STORAGE:
- Keep in a cool, dry place.
- Protect from direct sunlight.
- Dispose of by incineration.

WARNINGS:
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Do not apply subcutaneously, as it causes pain and skin discoloration, and can cause infection.
- Do not administer more than 10 ml at the application site.
- Do not apply to animals with hypersensitivity to iron dextran, infectious anemia, and vitamin E and selenium deficiency.
- It should not be used in animals with acute kidney infections, nor in conjunction with oral iron supplements.
