Hippiron

It is a hematinic solution formulated with a non-ionized polynuclear complex of ferric hydroxide and sterile, pyrogen-free sucrose.
for intravenous administration in horses.

It is recommended as an aid in the treatment of anemia due to iron deficiency. It is also indicated in cases where
to determine the presence of pre-anemic syndrome. Indicated to improve performance in competition horses by acting as an element
of cellular oxygenation. Indicated before and after surgery to stimulate
appetite and during the breeding season in both males and females.

Dosage and Administration:
• Foals after weaning: 10 ml of HIPPIRON (200 mg of iron (III)) per day.
• Mares and adult horses: 50 ml of HIPPIRON (1000 mg of iron (III)) every two days up to a total of 200 ml (4 injections), or 20 ml of HIPPIRON (400 mg of iron (III)) per day for a maximum of 10 consecutive days.
• It can be diluted in sterile physiological saline solution (20 ml of HIPPIRON in 500 ml of solution), and administered immediately. At the time of administration, the solution should be at a temperature above 15°C.
• The duration of treatment will depend on the hemoglobin level, the body's requirements, and the animal's clinical response.

Tolerance:
Clinical studies conducted with HIPPIRON have demonstrated high tolerability in its administration, as it does not cause damage to veins or tissues.

Contradictions:
Do not use HIPPIRON in the following cases:
