Ceftio-Zoo Plus

Broad-spectrum antimicrobial indicated for the treatment of diseases caused by germs susceptible to ceftiofur such as: Swine: Acts on swine respiratory disease associated with: Actinobacillus (Haemophilus) pleuropneumoniae, P. multocida, Salmonella choleraesuis and S. Suis type 2. Bovine: It is indicated for bovine respiratory disease associated with: Mannheimia spp. P. haemolytica, P. multocida and Haemophilus somnus; acts on interdigital necrobacillosis (pododermatitis, gabarro), associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus; and acts on metritis (0 to 14 days post-partum) associated with bacteria susceptible to ceftiofur.

SPECIES: Pigs and Bovines.

DOSE

• Pigs: 1-3 ml per 50 kg of weight (equivalent to 1 to 3 mg of Ceftiofur per kg of weight), every 24 h, for 3-5 days.
• Cattle: 1-2 ml per 50 kg of weight (equivalent to 1 to 2 mg of ceftiofur per kg of weight), every 24 h, for 3-5 days.

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Pigs: Intramuscular, Bovines: Intramuscular or subcutaneous.

PRESENTATIONS: 100 ml, 250 ml.

WARNINGS

Withdrawal period: Meat: 48 hours. Milk: 0 days, under FDA guidelines, when used for problems not involving the udder. When used for mastitis treatments, withdraw milk from affected quarters within 4 milkings of the last application. Milk from healthy quarters has a withdrawal period of 2 milkings, especially when processed under the zero antibiotic residue standard. Shake the product well before use. Once opened, use within 14 days. Store in a cool, light-protected place below 25°C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children and/or pets. Dispose of empty and/or unused containers according to local environmental regulations.
